can you send mp3s to your phone to use as ringtones?

I know you can use Phone Tools according to my friend, but mine isn't working (serach my other thread)... so I've tried sending an mp3 1:10 32kb quality, like the other one that's on my phone, and it didn't work. I sent it with Gmail and Yahoo. With Gmail it says unrecognized file type, and Yahoo email never gets to my phone.
