how to reset stolen/lost Sanyo 600

I swear I didn't steal this phone...
I bought a used Sanyo 6000 off ebay. Tried to activate it w/ Sprint PCS CSR today and they said they can't because the phone was reported lost/stolen.

What to do?

I'm sorry, but I don't think that there's anything you can do. Maybe you could turn the phone in to Sprint and find out who it was that said they lost it or had it stolen from them (and get them to authorize you to use it), but I'm pretty sure that it's only good for a paperweight now. If you take it in to a Sprint store (which you probably should do) they'll probably take it and ship it back to the original owner.

I know it's a little late for this, but maybe this will help anyone else out there that's thinking about buying a Sprint phone off of eBay:

Before bidding, always get the ESN number and call customer service with it to be sure that it's not lost/stolen and that it's not tied to an account with a huge unpaid balance.

That's great advice! I wouldn't have even thought of doing that!

I would get a hold of ebay and the person who sold it to you. If the person does not give your money back get ebay to stop the person from using their service. Ebay recently got concern with this type of problem since the feds are looking in to complaints.

Good luck.
