Hi, I have a few questions about a headphone adapter for my SMT 5600.

I purchased a 3 ring 2.5mm to 3.5mm headphone adapter from ebay but no matter WHAT size headphones I use the sound is VERY quiet.

I am wondering if I messed up and ordered the wrong adapter (mono maybe?) or if I need to buy a bulky (ugh) headphone amplifer to get real sound?

Does anyone else use an adapter and get the same volume sound you did from the OEM ear buds?

I bought one at Radio Shack and volume is fine. It was something like $3.
