Don't do business with 1wireless!!!!!

He has tried to con 3 different people (that I know of) in the past week by sending empty boxes and stating payment has to be made BEFORE the package arrives. It is pretty transparent but still might work if you're not careful.

p.s. Mods is there any way this dude gets banned ??

I was one of his "almost" victims - He wanted to trade me for a phone I have for sale. Insisted on using DHL and a Saturday delivery. Never gave his name - but his ship to address is 502 Circle Drive University Park, Illinois 60466 - in case he changes his name on the forum.

He pressed HARD for Saturday delivery - but when he sent his tracking number - it just didn't ring clear - so I held my package for a day. Sure enough - the package never came on Saturday - and what arrived Monday was a DHL box filled with empty DHL envelopes.

I called the number he gave - which was answered by a woman as something wireless. I asked for JR (the only name I had - from the DHL package) and said I got an empty box from him. He immediately started saying that the box must have been opened in shipping and that he couldn't refund my money until DHL investigated.

Obviously, he had more than one shipment going on - and once I indicated I hadn't paid him for anything but that this was a trade - he changed his tune. Ultimately, he called me a cheater and hung up on me.

STAY AWAY!! I was going to put a post in the fraud section - but that must be moderated differently cause I couldn't post.

I wonder how he sleeps at night. Probably with his mom.

BTW, BioHazard, super glad you didn't get ripped off. I hope Mike didn't either.

Posted by: mikewchandler

Nope...I didn't either.

i unfortunately got ripped off by him

Yeah - my spidey sense was working that day. It was just a little too good of a deal - pushed a little too fast. Had I received a phone on Saturday and it was a legit deal I had packed some "extras" (leather case, extra screen protectors) to make up for the "screwup in the mail room". I felt bad dealing like that - but it just didn't feel right. The guy never sent me his name - and it was all 1 or 2 sentence emails pushing for a DHL shipment (why them?) for Saturday delivery. I'm sticking w/ $$ for phones now - no trades.

Really sorry to hear that he took you Kane. I have his phone number and already posted his address - if it would help I'll get it and send to you.

If it would help to build a case against him or get the authorities to move on investigating this - I can send you my contact information - maybe if they have more than 1 victim it will help? PM me if you think I can help.

Yeah, his phone number has been changed already, I believe. I tried to call a few times yesterday but for some reason he doesn't want to have a man to man conversation? Anyway, there are a lot of scammers, he's nothing special. We just have to follow the suggestions on the BST forums so as not to get scammed.

Not sure if I am technically allowed to post this topic here or not? But, he's been on the prowl the past few days and I was hoping no one would get taken.

did you report him in the fraud forum by any chance?

Posted by: mikewchandler

Yes...and I also alerted the moderator.

Yeah, I feel sorry for him. I hate that he's taken from others but I still feel sorry for him. I'm sure it's hard to have any peace in your life when you aren't honest with others or yourself.

Not always true, sadly.. some people simply do not care about other at_all. Taking from others is absolutely acceptable and reasonable way of making a living.
But - as long as people are vigilant and try to follow the advice posted on these forums - you can trade, buy and sell very safely.

He registered only to scam. He only had 2 posts. That's why it is reasonably easy to detect. I say reasonably easy b/c after calling and talking to him on the phone, I thought he was being honest. Anyway, it pays to err on the side of cautious when dealing with people you don't know.

he also tried to scam me last week. someone needs to pin this moron down and get him arrested or something.
