I found this little table guide when I was searching for different HK firmwares info on the web... some of you may be interested...
Sorry it's only in Chinese(Simplified), I'd translate it for you, but my Chinese isn't that great so I don't want to translate some wrong information...

I only know about HK 1.02x and 1.05x
in 1.02x kinda everything works...

memcard game hack
1.05x u cant do that
also it wont alert for low battery.
in hk fw the trial games u can play as long u like for 3 times then u have to reset the memory.
with euro fw ur only allowed to play te games 1 minute then it shuts u out...
thats my big points....
i think 1.02x hk is the best..u can do everything except input jap, change themes and u will lack the answer machine.....
