Once a Motorola or Nokia 3G device drops, the poor old LG will be left in the dust. To the average consumer, it doesn't really matter. The Motorola V3i will outsell this LG...that is a given. Slim stylish phones like the V3i/D807 are simply more attractive to more customers than the LG. Why? It's all about design... |

I had the Samsung and returned it within two weeks because the reception was horrible. It is thin, but so is the LG which is only 3.7 ounces, the Razr V3i 3.53 ounces and the Samsung is 3.46 ounces. The reception on the LG is excellent and is much better than either of the two above.
It's all about design... indeed. My wife has a RAZR and my LG is almost as thin, only 4mm separate the two. As far as styling goes, the LG has the Moto beat everyday and on sunday. The device looks unique and it is very thin. The Razr and LG side by side you have to really look closely and you can barely tell that the LG is just a tad thicker. V3i is a piece of garbage. Hmm. a RAZR with i tunes, and GPRS! Wow. Impressive. and it is thin. The LG has HSDPA, and it is thin. Hmm which one. Hard decision. I wouldn't like to be stuck with GPRS with the V3i which looks like everyother Razr out there which everyone in their mother has, literally, for the next two years with old technology while everyone else is making video calls and enjoying all that 3g has to offer. My twelve old neighbor and all her friends has one, which looks exactly like the V3i. Yeah sounds good doesn't it. Moto is not innovative anymore, they just change the color and ask for more money and people buy them. What LG has done is beat them at their own game, made a thin phone with the newest technology. People even mainstream consumers will catch on when 3g is offered on everyphone that Cingular carries, it will happen trust me. And Moto's tactics of changing colors will not work, it is already starting to happen. LG is what Moto used to be, innovative as is Samsung. Moto is money hungrey and don't care about the consumer, they just care about the bottom line, innovation has gone out the window in favor of more profits. Just look at the next RAZR the K1, it only has EDGE, how is that for innovative. ![]() |

Its not slim? Really. Its only 4mm thicker than the RAZR. Do you know how much 4mm is? I put them side by side and I have a hard time seeing which phone is thinner, unless you get out a ruler. Have you ever held the LG in your hand? So how do you know it's not thin until you hold one in your hand. The only thing that really does matter in this business is making money. On that, Motorola knows what they are doing, no matter how many RAZR-haters there are. LG is posting numbers in the red for comparisons sake... |

oh and yea the lg is .2 inches thicker then the razr, not 4 mm, .2" is like 5 mm, which is a big thickness difference. its the diff between the 8125 and the lg. yea, if u want thin and thats it get the razr if not lg kills it |
