Bluetooth Speeds

I've been using bluetooth to connect my KX5 Slider Remix to my computer. I am able to transfer files, but the speed is extremely slow. Ive checked everything I know to speed it up, including the baud rate on the com port settings. I know that bluetooth is capable of 1Mbps. I'm probably pulling no more than 2 or 3 kbps. I am using IVT Corp. BlueSoleil bluetooth software. Any ideas to boost this baby up? Thanks for any help.
