Hey everyone.. I know this info is around somewhere but I cant find it for some reason. Does anyone know if the Treo 650 takes mini sd?
Thanks
Also...
Anyone know when they might discontinue this model? I doubt it will be for a long time..
Thanks

The mini-SD card with adapter will fit into the Treo, since it is the same size as an SD card. The mini-SD card itself will not fit without the adapter.
edit: as for when the Treo will reach end of life (EOL), I have no idea.

It will probably be marked EOL when an official annoucement from Palm about the new GSM versions that we all have been waiting for. Until then, we get to continue to use the treo 650.

Would you say it is a bad idea to purchase one right now?

No. Theres very few differences between the 650 and the 700p. If you want Windows then go 700w or Lennon but the main thing you'll be gaining (aside from cosmetics) is a larger RAM.

Depends on what you need. The 700p made three major improvements - 128MB RAM instead of 32MB, EVDO for CDMA, and a 1.3 MB camera, plus a bunch of minor improvements.
Certainly the price of the 650p will (finally) fall once the 700p GSM equivalent comes out, going rate for an unlocked one on ebay/craiglist seems to be about $400. The 700p for Verizon and Sprint pretty much came in at the original release price of the 650p, seems like a decent bet that the GSM models will do the same.
