Most corperate stores don't have them and may not have them until Friday this week. But we can always count on a retail giant like Walmart to come to our rescue and make our obsessions a reality! This is just another example of how Cingular/at&t have dropped the ball on this phone release like many others. I would love to have a Cingular rep or worker explain how Walmart had this the day it was released, yet CORPERATE stores may wait upto a week if not longer before they can offer them. Isn't the whole idea of a release, is that you have them to sell, not just say it was released but you will need to wait longer!

Anyone able to get insurance on their V3xx? I was considering it because I am clumsy but there is mass confusion going on with customer service. I am an agent and our launch documents on this device claim it is eligible but when my coworker tried to put it on for me yesterday customer service was unsure whether or not it was covered. I am assuming they were looking off of the January 2nd eligibility list and decided today to call me and let me know that they removed the insurance feature because it was not covered. Anyone able to get the lockline insurance added to their account?

Mike

Posted by: hooked

Strange. I went to the Walmart SuperCenter by me and they didn't have it either. Just the regular V3.

Posted by: jyalexop2003

The Walmart store hre in St. Louis has them for $69/119
on 1/2yr new/upgrade. But he said insurance was $9.99/month.
Is that correct. No way I'll do that much insurance for this phone.

so i am on my second v3xx because the keypad on the first one was not secured at the top and would make a noise like something lifting off of tape as i released each key press near the top of the keypad...well this one is fine at the top (definitely different than the first) but the second one's keypad now has the same issue when pressing the number five...am i being to picky? This one at least feels okay tactile wise but i can hear it when not in a noisy environment...just wondering if anyone else has this or did i get the only 2 v3xx's with this problem...i would hate to go back to exchange it again over such a little issue, i think they may be getting frustrated with me always going through a few phones...ha ha

Posted by: b0stonirishguy

No problems with the keypad. I've noticed a slight wiggle when the mobile is closed. I've seen a few other posts about this.

I have the same issue with the center of the keypad flexing a bit. Not sure if it's worth exchanging as I'd rather have this than a loose hinge.

Posted by: b0stonirishguy

It's not a problem for me. It's more a nitpicking wireless andy sort of wiggle to the flip.

Posted by: tjb

I'm on my 2nd v3xx. The first one had the same loose hinge and keypad issues other have described. I exchanged it, the guy let me test them out, and I found one where the hinge is not loose and the keypad felt better. I guess I just had a bad one. This one feels much more solid too. So far, I love this phone though....

one random question though, is there a way to set it to force 2g (GSM) only and turn off 3g? Probably would never use it, only to occasionally save battery, but didn't see that option anywhere.

Thanks!

Posted by: jyalexop2003

If you're not going to use the 3G capabilities of this phone then why buy it.

maybe if you are running low on battery and want to conserve it until you can charge back up

maybe on fringe area sometimes and bouncing back and forth from 2g and 3g can run battery down quick and cause handoff issues

Well, for one thing, it's cheaper than the non-3G Razrs!

Posted by: tjb

I never said I wasn't going to use 3g, genius. Not sure why you thought posting that would be helpful...

I was meaning, just like grdella understood it, that 3g drains the battery a lot faster. So, if I'm somewhere and need to conserve my battery and don't have access to my charger, that I could turn 3g off, but still use regular 2g. That's all. I've looked through and couldn't find the option to select that mode only, and was asking a simple question.

Besides, not only is it cheaper, but (aside from the form factor) it is a totally different phone inside (qvga screen, new UI, nvidia gpu, etc.. ) Many more reasons besides just 3g to get this phone!

yes I noticed that too. It's good to know that is may be a design issue and was made to have some play on purpose.

On another note, does anyone know when using opera and the web browser how to text or numbers into a given field. Every time I go to put my password into the field to enter my phone number to login into mywaves.com the 7 zooms out and the 1 zooms in. It is not letting me enter numbers, the shortcut keys take over and it just goes to the shortcut keys instead of letting me enter text. HELP! PLEASE!

I don't know, but I had the old one with the 64k on the back and I just switched to the one with the fireball on it and I seem to be getting signals with this new sim. I might switch back to the old one if this keeps up.

The wiggle when the flip is closed in normal for all versions of the razr although some are a little more than others.

What is the pricing on this phone?

I would be looking to get it at the cheapest retail price I can find.. If anyone has any information or suggestions that would be great.

I think the no contract price from Wal-Mart is 249.00

This phone is great for using as a modem. I have it tethered to the N800 internet tablet and it's as quick as wifi.

Posted by: b0stonirishguy

I haven't been able to get over 300k on the wap mobile speed test. I will have to see what speeds I can get tethering tonight.

Ditto. My 8525 would always bring in numbers around 600-900. I'm wondering if the processor on the phoen isn't fast enough? I mean what else could explain this?

Michael, what's the secret to getting your MP3's or AAC's to play as ringtones? So far, the phone only lets me select songs that are under 30 seconds.

I've had the speed you mentioned (600-900) on my 8525, Treo 750, Blackjack and CU500. Not sure what's up. I'll try the CU500 again tonight. Don't have the 8525 and 750 anymore.

I dont put any faith in that indicator.
The first day i got my V3m it changed color on me just because of the humidty outside.

They should just get rid of that indicator or make it less sensitive.

Posted by: fireonhigh

well ive had my v3 a long time and i work as a painter inside and out in a very humid florida and the indicator is still white,,plus if something goes wrong with it and its red your out of luck with getting a new one from cing!!i just wanna play it safe!!

mine has red dots on it too. both of them! maybe it is a new type of indicator.

Posted by: fireonhigh

well i called them and said i have TINY RED DOTS on the indicator and they said they are sending me a new one, so maybe its not a new type of indicator?? i will see when i get the new one on friday or tuesday the latest!!

Posted by: mazman5

I have two of these phones and both came with the red dots in the indicator. My friend also just picked one up and he also has the red dots. I'm guessing that this is a new type of indicator. Does anyone have a V3xx without the red dots in the indicator?

Mine is the same way. Any fixes? I really don't want to send it back, I got it through Premier so I don't want to go through the process of sending it back. IMO, it's not anything worth sending back over.

Posted by: Maverick05

it's a new type of indicator. my old nokia was like this. it was white with some red. when it gets moist the red dots bleed and the whole thing turns red or dark pink

Posted by: fireonhigh

LOL,,,yeah that's what i thought when i first put the battery in Monday night,,but today i thought, well hell im going to call and make sure,i specifically told them it has tiny red dots,i guess they didnt know for sure what i was telling them,,,i should delete the thread i made but i dont know how

Posted by: Wide_opeN

I have three issues thus far with the phone, anyone is welcome to chime in on them Please?!?!?!

1. Hinge has about 1 or 2 millimeters of play when phone is closed.

2. Does this phone not have the bluetooth serial port profile? I thought for sure that it did!!! If it doesn't I may not be keeping it.

3. In the address book why did they decide to only maximize the mobile phone icon, but with work and home they have the icon that used to stand for main with tiny tiny pics of work bldg. and house. This is dumb! This OS is similar to what was on the e815 from Verizon and they didn't do the above with the OS on that phone. As a matter of fact the work icon was a tie and house was slightly different from past versions. This is one particular thing that I like about Moto phones. They will show the icon of where the person is calling from, comes in handy when you only want to talk mobile to mobile.

Your feedback is appreciated in these matters.

If I understand the manual correctly, a "3G" symbol appears in the phone's home screen next to the reception-bars symbol when connected to a 3G network. Is this correct?

I drove to an area shown as 3G on the Cingular maps, but I did not see a 3G symbol on the screen while parked. I really couldn't watch the display while driving.

Just got V3xx and noticed something strange. When put my memory card with mp3 songs and try to play them phone says that it does not recognise the file format.Same card played fine in SYNC and LG CU500.Anybody else with the problem?

according to Motorola the indicator must be COMPLETELY WHITE,if not the rep told me my guarantee is void,,,most likely would be with cing. to

Sorry for the double post. I had first posted it in another thread, but I think this is where this post actually belong.

My two V3xx's also have the red dots. Are we sure that the motorola and the Cingular reps haven't been advised or told of a different or new type of wet reading indicator.

There just seems to be to many reports of the red dots on everyones phone to believe that all of them got wet or moist. I'm hoping that this is just a new indicator.

Has anyone exchanfed one yet that doesn't havr the red dots ?

My two V3xx's work great, I'd hate to send them back and get one or both that doesn't work as well as the curent ones I have.

Please keep the info flowing on this issue !!!

Thanks for any further info

Mine has the red dots too, so I think it must be just a new thing with Cingular.

Thanks! The Cingular CS rep told me this morning that I should get a new SIM card. She didn't say why, but perhaps this is needed for 3G. I'll do that tomorrow and run another test.

it just seems a bit strange to me that when i called 611 and told them about the tiny red dots they told me they will send me out another phone and when i called moto he says they have to be all white or its void,, and dont accept one with the dots..who do we believe? my guess would be moto,,i hope some one can clear this up,,my phone works great also,im just a little worried about the warranty

Yes, you need a 3G SIM. Your old one is probably only GPRS-capable.

By the way, I read a post from another user that he was unable to achieve speeds greater than 300 Kbps. I am in the same boat. I have excellent 3G coverage but all speed tests cap out at 300 Kbps and surfing isn't that much faster than GPRS...

Posted by: Wide_opeN

Just did a speed test with my V3xx and I actually got higher speeds than I ever did on either the SYNC of LG Cu500 was like 650 down and 347 up... Not bad huh??

Anyway I managed to get this baby connected via bluetooth, so the Wifey will definitely be getting the SYNC.

It's a shame about the Java permissions, but at least we do gain the ability to pause Java sessions.

I'm so happy to have a moto again!!!

Posted by: voipben

Yeah, good speeds... I assume you didn't change any of the default network settings or anything to achieve this.

No sir, I have a bluetooth usb drive. What I did was connect using the dial-in profile being that this phone does not have a serial port profile.

Next I went to Device Wizard on Cingular Communications Manager and added the V3xx.

Once device was added, I was g2g!!! This is nothing out of the ordinary, I changed no settings at all.

Yep, red dots here too. Phone works fine though.

Does anyone know where to get a good case for the V3xx? My old Krussel V3i case doesn't fit it quite right. Any ideas are appreciated.

Posted by: lyhte

Are there any shortcuts on the v3xx? I miss having the shorcut option. The v3i allowed you to hit the menu button and a number and it would take to a corresponding page. I haven't been able to find it on the v3xx?

Also, I noticed that when you have the speakerphone on, the phone must be open at all times. The v3i allowed me to close the phone in speakerphone mode. Is there a step or option that I am overlooking?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Anybody else having issues with their keypad making the unglued/unstuck tape sound up around the top keys? It is pretty annoying, and wonder if anybody has ever tried to fix it or make it not so noticable.

I got a new Sim card today, and my phone now has a network icon just to the right of the signal-strength icon. I drove to a 3G area, and the network icon showed "3G." It's good to know that's working.

BTW, my old Sim said 3G on its face. I guess there is a new Sim card for some reason.

In what may be the BIGGEST news ever. Motorola has FINALLY decided to put an ALARM CLOCK icon on the home screen!!

i did...then i replaced it for a new one...and now it makes that noise in the center but not nearly as bad...i think this is going to definitely be a bigger issue in a couple months because if brand new ones have this issue then the way their are putting the keypads on does not seem very secure and i think many more will start pulling away in the future

My home screen shows an alarm clock at the top all of the time. It may have something to do with reminders in the calendar, but even when I have no reminders for that day, it stays on all of the time. I don't have any other alarms set. Any idea why it stays on? The instructions aren't very clear about it.

Dunno. Yeah those have always showed for Calendar Events, but this is the first Moto I have ever used that actually shows an actualy Alarm Icon.. which is a lot better. It was always hard to tell if I had it set or not without going into the menu and finding out.

Posted by: augmach5

How many with the IZAR are experiencing a non-illuminating outer lcd when receiving a text message ? Mine only illuminates 50 percent of the time. Too bad that outer display is also very dim...

Posted by: bmega

Finally someone else who is having this outer display problem when receiving text messages surfaces. I am having the same issue. I figured out that if you wait until the 'Display Timeout' (different than Backlight Timer) elapses, then receive a text, the backlight will come on. Any subsequent texts or texts you get soon after closing the flip will not cause the backlight to come on. Yeah, and the outer display is nearly useless outdoors even on a very cloudy day.

so it finally released. Cingular just got their first 3g razr while vzw had it for 6 mo or more? wow.

and so it looks exactly like any other razr right? while vzw is getting the maxx which has new looks and the glass/metal casing of the krzr.

i'm no vzw fanboy btw, i hate them. thats what makes this even more annoying that vzw is getting the better phone and that it took cing so long to get a 3g razr and it looks no diff then the old one.

Is Wal-Mart still selling this phone for $200 something? Has anyone checked recently?

lots of glass to break there unless its bullet proof? ,,i have no problem with the v3xx ,even the price was good

You know, i really wish that cingy had released the maxx too, but in all honesty, if you take away the 2 mp camera and the outer music controls, it's the same phone... maybe cingy will release the maxx (or hopefully a newer version) for two way video conferencing. I know people have said that that's not going to happen till next year, but if sprint is rolling it out, and umts is known for simultaneous voice and data, it seem skind of foolish to wait that long for cingy to release it too.

how come cingy hasn't relesed telenav and other good softwares for it yet, and how come moto still doesn't have this phone up on their hellomoto website considering the phone's been out for a week now

They usually take a while to update that site They DO have the manual for download on the Support Site though.

Posted by: Maverick05

i also wish that this phone had the option to temporarily turn bluetooth on for the headset which would turn off after a while when the bt headset was disconnected... this was a great feature.

I am going to purchase a microsd memory card for this phone and did a search of this forum to see what brand people were purchasing. With another phone, some people were having trouble with the Kingston cards. Is the V3xx picky with memory cards, and is there a brand that is recommended? Anyone know of any good deals on smaller cards--I only need 256 or 512 MB? Thanks!

Posted by: FormulaNY

I've actually got a Kingston 1Gb card on mine that works great. I've seen some good prices on Newegg.com check them out.

I'm also using the Kingston 1GB microsd in my phone and it works fine

Can anyone please explain how to do this, and what I would need to do it? The permissions settings in the java is about to wear me out!

Thanks!

Also are you guys using RadioComm to do this edit or some other software???

OK...I cannot find RadioCOmm anywhere.

kept mine...my v3i had the same flip issue. It's not lose, just has the smallest bit of play while closed. I do have 20 or so more days to trade it if I choose though.

Thanks FormulaNY and Craigg. I went back and found that most of the people who were having trouble with the Kingston cards had LG phones. I have to purchase a few things from Amazon tomorrow, and they have the smaller Kingston cards for $9.00, so I'll purchase a few of these. Thanks again.

For anyone purchasing this phone from WalMart, did you get a new 3G card from them? I have an old SIM (couple years old) but assume I need a new 3G SIM to get the 3G to work. Doing an equipment upgrade, do they give me a new one or do I need to then go to a Cingular store?

Thanks

Our salesman at Walmart was pretty inept, and I didn't wan't him touching our new phones. I thought the sim in my existing phone (which was about 6 months old) would work with the V3xx, but after some testing found that it would not connect with the 3G network. I went to a Cingular company store, and they installed a new sim for free without any problem. I can now connect with the 3G network without problem.

So, I can't really answer your question as to whether you can get the new sim from Walmart. If not, a quick stop at the Cingular store will take care of things.

I bought my V3xx outright for full retail so I didn't get a new SIM. If you do an upgrade, you get a new SIM unless you tell them you don't want it or need it.

Got the v3xx at lunch today, she said I could use my existing SIM but told her it was several years old and the new ones should be blue, she produced one from behind the counter and hooked me up with that one. She did a great job, even calling Cingular to make sure it all was working properly before I left the store.

When I went to the Cingular store, the salesperson started to put a new orange sim card into the phone and then, after taking a second look at the phone, got a blue sim card and put that in instead. So, if you get the phone at Walmart or a place like that, I would make sure they install the correct sim card. My phone wouldn't work with 3G without the blue card.

BTW, I agree with mrkablooey that the people at the Cingular store are very efficient and helpful.

I want to get a cable to download photos from my phone. I checked the manual, but it doesn't provide any information as to the correct cable. I checked amazon.com, and there are two mini-USB cables. One is 4 pin...

http://tinyurl.com/234q85

...and one is 5 pin...

http://tinyurl.com/yw94ld

I happened to get a mini USB cable with a digital camera, and it is identified as a "Universal Serial Bus (USB) (mini-B, PTP (Picture Transfer Protocal))."

Which is the correct cable? I did a search of this forum, and it appears that the 5 pin cable is the correct one, although a few said that the PTP cable is the one to use.

Thanks!

Posted by: Tjash2010

As with every Razr it is a Mini USB (5pin) that is the correct cable to use. I rarely ever see 4 pin cables, and if i do they are intended for digital camera's (like my old Minolta Xt).

Weird MPT recognized mine right away.....

I got the 3G icon on my screen, but when browsing, it would jump between E and 3G intermittently. Is this normal due to weak 3G coverage? I am using a year old SIM card that says 3Gc on it (somebody else mentioned it before). Just wanted to make sure it's not a SIM card issue.

Thanks.

Did someone mention cover art?

Does anyone have an experience with this phone and Max OS X? iSync, tethering?

Posted by: rpmura

Is anyone experiencing this with voice dialing? When I use voice dialing using a name, it doesn't always ask me which number, i.e. "home" "mobile", etc. It just dials whichever number it wants to. I can't find anything that tells me how to change that. The only thing I can find is that if there is more than one number, it will prompt you for which one you want. It has done it a couple of times, but usually it just dials one of the persons numbers. One person it'll dial their home. Another it dials their mobile, as if I told it to default to those numbers. Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Ok to answer my own question, I tethered the V3xx with older SIM and got 900+ kb/s in speed tests. So I guess the old SIM card do work with 3G network. Sweet!

it does that if there is only one number input for the entry. Say John Doe only has a mobile number, then when you use voicedial it assumes you want this number dials because it's the only number there. However, say you wanted to call john smith and he has home and mobile, then it will ask you for which one you wouold like diale.d

I am experiencing the same thing. My mom's has multiple of entries under her but it will only do work and email. I am going to delete all my contacts, put them on the sim from my V3i and try to reload to the V3xx again.

I envy those in a solid area, the best I can get is up to 600kb!!! Well then again the advertised is 700. Still, though, I'm jealous!!!

Posted by: neonbright

Ok update, so I deleted all contacts from my phone. I already had them back-up on MPT and Outlook. I put them back on the phone from MPT and it made some of the contacts with multiple numbers under one. So I put all numbers, address and emails under one and deleted repeated ones. For example: Mom has cell, two works numbers, home, email and address under one entry. So when I activate voice command, it works great. So I updated everyone who had multiple entries, to one entry with all information.

I put all my contacts on the phone, I am not sure of the SIM.

No, it does it when there's multiple entries. That's the problem. I could see it if there were only one number entered. Once in a while it asks me which number, but most of the time it just dials the one that's marked "primary number" on the sim. Even if there are other entries for the same name.

i don't have any numbers on my sim, all on the phone. try that cause configured this way, mine works perfectly

Posted by: troyboy30

so you have multiple numbers for a person but they are in separate entries? That would be the problem then! All numbers would need to be under a single entry.

Posted by: rpmura

Quote:

No, my wording is probably not the best. They are all under one entry. For example if I have John Smith, under his name I have his cell, home, work, etc. Actually I love the new address book. I hated the old Motorola multiple entries for every person, including the sim and phone. Too many numbers to scroll through. It's about time they combined them under one entry. But as far as the voice command, it doesn't always ask me which one to call. Maybe the answer is just to keep all of the numbers on the phone and erase them from the sim. Just back up the phone memory in Motorola phone tools or something. If I buy a new phone, I'll copy them at that time. Perhaps it'll work better that way like you said Maverick. Thanks.

Posted by: troyboy30

I got ya...yea I have all of my entries stored on the phone and have no issues, so maybe that's the solution.

Posted by: Asharus

I have a V3xx with a loose left hinge. I purchased it through customer care and they advised that I can go to a Corporate Store and do an exchange there.

Posted by: troyboy30

if you find one that isn't slightly loose, you are one of the few. I went through my local wal marts entire stock and they was all the same.

Posted by: Asharus

My wife's phone (V3xx also) has a slight amount of play, however mine is as loose as a whore.

Posted by: zadosha

Mine's slightly loose and a couple of the keys are sticky. I may have to take it back and check their other stock.

Posted by: Baldilocks

I guess I must be one of the lucky few who have gotten one with a pretty tight hinge on it. There is maybe a two to three millimeter of play when closed. No play when open.

Posted by: Asharus

I swapped mine out yesterday. 2 out of the 3 he brought out were loose too. Oh, and to prevent that "sticky" key issue, pull the layer of film on the keypad off SLOWLY.

Posted by: mlm 0320

My hinge is really tight. No problems here.

Posted by: jhardin1

guess I lucked out and got a good v3xx - screen looks ok, keys are firm and click, and no battery problems

Knocking on wood and saying my prayers. My husband and I V3xx are just like yours...

Posted by: Cuban47

When you say its lose do you mean when it is closed because mine is or when it is open because mine is not or when you are about to close it because mine is a bit lose when i am
Thanks

Posted by: ColtFan

I've had five. I exchanged the first two I got. One because it was shutting off and had the loose hinge problem and the other the CS rep. suggested changing because she said the hinge was loose and may be considered damage if I tried to have warranty work done on it later, otherwise it worked great.

The ones she replaced them with was just as loose as the originals, but works great too, with no sticky key problems. Just keeping them as is.

The third V3xx works great and does not have a loose hinge or any other problems and works great.

Posted by: mlm 0320

No loose hinge or sticky keys on mine, thank god. I'm REALLY OCD about my phones ha.

mine is the same...I wouldn't call it 'loose', just the slightest bit of play in it!

Posted by: Justin5117

Im thinking about getting the V3xx today, does anyone know if you can sync it with iSync? I've seen post where there have been plug-ins made but they havent worked right. I do NOT need my contacts synced just my calendar.

Posted by: mrkablooey

mine doesn't have sticky keys nor does it have a loose hinge, but the red END button is starting to 'come up', meaning the plastic covering over the red part (which appears to be underneath) is coming out from under the black part. will try to exchange it at walmart, its been more than 15 days but less than 30, hope they'll switch it.

Posted by: tpitch14

hey board... long time browser, first time poster :-) Just picked up my v3xx yesterday. No problems with the hinge and/or 'sticky' keys. I haven't played around with it too much yet, but did notice something odd (may not be since this is the first razr i've had). Did anyone notice that when the flip is closed, and the backlight goes out (ie. it's the black screen with the time), that the time moves position?? Sometimes it's at the top, sometimes in the middle, and sometimes on the bottom third. Just thought it a bit strange, sorry if this is commonplace knowledge. Anyway, I'm enjoying the phone so far, and look forward to learning a lot more about it and hopefully being able to contribute some more. Cheers!

nice catch, but this is a feature that has been in the RAZR line for quite some time. very handy one i might add....

the monochrome, always on external clock is what is very handy. i have always thought it was stupid to have to waste battery life and click a button just to see what time it was. this alleviates that problem with little to no effect on battery life.......

Guide:Change V3XX's cl.gif [MY WAY] by bomber21

http://www.motox.info/showthread.php?t=37114

he wrote this before we had the new version of p2kcommander which you can now use to simply replace the file, but you will still need to do the proper seem edits. That info can be found in the p2k05 section of motox

kyle16: oh, gotcha. yeah i completely agree with you on that one.

troyboy: thanks for the info so it is my understanding that the cl.gif is the image that is displayed on the outside screen when the flip is open? i'll have to check everything out tonight and later this week when my data cable arrives...

I tried downloaded a couple of PhonePlugins for the v3xx:

http://www.clockskew.com/blog/2006/...rola-razr-v3xx/

http://www.faqintosh.com/risorse/en...lugin/motorola/

The one I tried did not sync my calendar and the documentation for neither promises it.

Switching subjects, I'm not liking my v3xx too much since it does not support my email provider, downloaded Java apps are crippled by the "allow network access" question, and while it can play the Real-based Cingular video it cannot play Real streams from my favorite public radio station.

and your email provider is who?

read up on the java nag - its an easy mod, w/ only minor tradeoffs (for now).

Has anyone tried to buy full versions of the games on the phone? I tried to buy tetris only to have the web page the demo sends you tell say that its not compatible with my phone. Whaaaaat?

The tradeoffs for removing the java nag is pretty huge. Replacing one annoyance with another. I'm chocking this all up to the phone being so new that nothing works with it yet.

actually depends on your personal prefs......i use nothing java-related from Cingular......anything i want i don't pay Cingular for it.....therefore removing the java nag is a huge benefit for me (and many others)....also its a piece of cake to add it back if i ever choose to do so

Found an email client that works pretty well with IMAP and POP. Have to purchase, but the developers are responsive and working on some nice features for next version, including attachment viewing. Check out www.tricastmedia.com

Can't wait for iSync support of the V3xx, hopefully supporting todo's as well as calendar.

Which version did you install on your v3xx? The Motorola phones I found listed on their site are these: PEBL U6, RAZR V3, RAZR V3i, RAZR V3x, SLVR L7.

I believe I specified the V3x version. The developer is very good about getting back on questions, so you may want to email them and mention you're using a V3xx on Cingular. Still get the network nags when downloading unfortunately. Their Pro version should be out soon.
