What about this DEBUG mode?

So guys, I've discovered a delicious new feature on this RAZR v3c. It's the debug mode (found by key stroking ##33284). Does a service manual exist for this stuff? IN PARTICULAR, does this GPS work like a automobiles GPS system?

Just a little timid to change anything here, other than to verify that it was in AUTO mode for service.

If a service guide exists, please email or post a link

Thanks!!!

Em

If you want the full Programming Menu (which also includes that TestMode), here's my normal copy & paste:

To get to the hidden Programming Menu you must type the following 8 keys without pausing for more than ~1second between key presses: Menu 073887* or #073887* on the V3c (since it has no Menu button)
Then use 6 zero's for the password

But don't go changing things in TestMode unless you want to brick your phone.

How do you turn this off? Now, every time I turn on my cellphone, I get a white screen that says FTS. And I ahve to hit next/CLR a few times.

cant this be disabled ?

Press Menu then the left soft key - at least that's how it is on the E815/V710 - not sure about the Razr's, since they don't have a menu button.

To turn this off just type the same keys that you used to enable it (##33284). You can also type in #073887* and the password is 000000. Then go to test mode and change to disabled.

000000 is for getting into the Programming Menu on Motorola phone's on Verizon.
Other carriers might be different.
Perhaps you could give us a hint as to your phone model and carrier?

EDIT: try these - 048263, 641916, 832976, 183729, 928576, 304740, 737580, 123456

##DEBUG(33284) enables and disables testmode without the need for accessing the programming menu or inputing the security code.

The ##33284 sequence doesn't work on my v.265. All the digits up to the 4 get entered, then the 4 doesn't show up.

But going into the programming menu and enabling it seems to work. Then Menu/Leftkey toggles in and out of it. Pretty cool.

I can't get anything from the GPS session though, it always says ERROR and the coordinates are all zero. How do you set that up?

That means it is working.

Oh, I was expecting it to go into debug immediately. That's what my old Startac 7868w did, I think. (It's been a while since I even turned that thing on, and of course it was disabled when I got the v265.)
