I had the same problem. I called Cingular and made up a story that my phone was acting up and i took it to the store and they "cleared everything to trouble shoot it" and i can't get on media net anymore and i need the media net "setup mms" sent to me. They sent it and it installed and my media net works now.

It's possible that maybe there are some certificates or soemthing in it that makes it work.

I tried your instructions and everything worked fine until I entered the security code on my phone. A message stating web sessions exceeded came up and it stopped the process.

My MMS and browser work from manually entering settings I found on other threads, but the Media Net doesn't work quite right (it looks a bit funny). I thought this would help that. Any ideas?

Sounds like you've reached the limit for websessions.

Go to WebAccess and then WebSessions. Delete the stock ones that came with the phone if possible. If not post here and I'll see if I can guide you to some directions on how to get rid of them.

If you can delete the stock ones then re-do the instructions I posted above and it should work.

You're going to need p2k tools to remove the websessions:

http://www.motomodding.com/vault/so...s2_v.0.9.1b.rar

Install that, connect the phone, start p2k tools. Go to "Tools" at hte top of the screen, then "WebAccess" followed by "Websessions".

Once the websessions editor pops up click "load from phone". Now for each websession make sure you click "allow edit" and "allow delete". Once you've done that click "save to phone". Then close the window for websessions. Click "restart".

Now go to websessions on the phone and delete both of the websessions. Now try the online Cingular configurator.

Another thing you can try too, is hwile you can't delte them, you can edit all their settings.. everything but the name... but the name doesn't really effect anything. So if you enter in all of cingular's settings and set it, whatever the name may be, to your default websession, you should be set.

Posted by: troyboy30

easier to delete your websessions file....after you save a copy! and then upload one of the cingular websession files in my folder......check the box to make it a system file then boot the phone. then just go through and do the tweakin!

Posted by: joaoeduardo05

I downloaded the program but it doesn't connect at all with my phone even after i switched the usb cable to data on my phone.. can someone give me instructions.. and be clear.. please thanks.

yea read some of the many guides on motox.info

or you can read these release notes for the motorola driver installer that is packed with rsd lite 2.8. google for it and try it.

Here are the complete release notes for the Motorola Driver Installer thats packaged with the new RSD lite 2.8....

**The BLAN Driver Release Notes and MTP Driver Installation Guide are not complete listings to conserve space**

I am not sure of the classification of this installer since it was packaged with RSD, so I will add the .doc files to my folder once I get word from a mod.**

P2K and Motodrv Driver

Version 2.0.0 Release Notes

P2K and Motodrv Driver Release Notes

P2K and Motodrv Driver Overview

The P2K.sys driver and the Motordrv.sys driver are the same code base and must share the same changes. The main difference is that the P2K.sys driver was not used for WHQL certification the Motodrv.sys needed to be created to be able to ensure that the P2K.sys driver can be updated for debugging and development without affecting the WHQL certification.
For the context of this overview we will refer to the P2K and the Motodrv as the driver.

Motorola Driver MSI Installation

Version 1.4.0 Release Notes

Motorola Driver Installer Release Notes

Motorola Driver Installer Overview

The Motorola Driver Installer was developed to easy the installation of the Device drivers on Microsoft Windows PCs. Currently the INFs and drivers are installed by the Motorola tools independently and there are issues with tools requiring updates to include the new INFs and drivers. This sometimes is not acceptable as an incorrect driver or INF version would be installed on the PC confusing the end user.
This installer is design to pre install the INFs and drivers on the target machine to easy the installation of devices connect over USB.

The installer is also design to clean the machine of all Motorola USB devices that were connected and installed on the system. This is accomplished by searching the registry and removing the device instances as well as parsing through the INF directory looking for any INFs that have the Motorola MDB USB Vendor ID in the INFs. If this is found in the directory the INF and the PNF file that was created is deleted.

The installer will, if select, log all information to a file and to the screen.

Finally, to manage the driver versions properly the installer will parse through the drivers directory and update any drivers that are old. During a cleaning operation unneeded drivers will be deleted from the system.

this is not exactly related to your issue but i am having a weird problem with my v3i im using on tmobile.... its unlocked and i dowloaded the web browser update to enable tzones and everything.....and it works perfectly.....no problems sending and receiving text picture and video messsages with audio playback....tzones works and i can dowload games and ringtones off the handset directly.....so why am i receiving duplicate text messages that were already received??? example....i sent 1 message to the v3i from my v3 razr and when i opened up the message,it came up 3 more times as if it was sent 3 times.....but it wasnt...and this is the only problem im having...other than that the handset it perfect and i think it gets better reception than the regular v3 razr on tmobile....any help is much appreciated....

Hi, I also have the same problem as joao is having. I have used P2ktools to delete the pre-configured WebSessions, and I had Cingular sent me their official settings via messaging. And yet I am still having the same problem, basically the web only displays the following,

Any additional assistance would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, other internet applications such as google map works well. Only the default browser is not functing as expected.

My wife has another unlocked V3i, and she didn't have this problem.
