I messed around with the w800 'cause people said it was not possible to switch covers to a w810, not because I can't afford the w810. That and the fact that I have already preordered a N73. Seriously...this is the modding section...so whats with the "peasanty" and "dishonest" shyte. |

anyways, OP did you manage to get the backplate to fit on your phone, cause i'm having troubles getting it to fit on my phone. i have a w810 middle plate. would the camera slide switch interfere with mounting the 810 backplate? |

The back, however, does mount just fine after a few cuts with a sharp blade.
In the aftermarket w810 case I bought, the round portion of the back plate that circles the lens is a separate piece that snaps in and out of the rest of the back plate. This underlaps the visible portion of the back plate, and is a little less than 1mm. If you cut this out around the w800 lens switch, you will have enough room for the switch to sit under the w810 back plate. I have decided that I like the black phone look, and have since kept the w8100 middle plate, and have put on a k750 front and back. Now I have a true identity crisis phone (w800, with a w810 middle plate, and a k750 front and back. As you can see from the first picture, the keyboard area of the front case doesn't want to sit flush with the middle case, but that just might be the quality of the "OEM" case that I bought. |
