what is a POP account ?

is there a way to get your voicemail icon to show how many you have ?

does a rom update reinstall everything ? (im getting a used ppc6700, should i do a hard reset to get back to stock?, will the rom update do this automatically?)

does this phone let you use your talk time and evdo simultaneously? while online, can i still make out going calls? is there any problems with receiving calls ? i heard sometimes if ur online and u receive a call they get the ringing and then they get your voicemail.

POP is a POP3 mail account.. yahoo mail is not pop unless you pay xtra for it. most peeps use outlook express on their pc to check mail (with isp account) name.mail.com that type of stuff.
a hard reboot removes everything on the phone and then boots up with oem stuff and in the case of verizon then boots their software into the phone.. and that turns off the ability to surf and use phone at same time. hard reboot and skip of loading verizon software does allow both to be used at same time.

I use pop to check my sprintpcs mail (jdoexx@sprintpcs.com) you should have this account set up by Sprint already. This is how I send photos to blogs etc.. I've also set up my gmail account for pop access for free.

I've noticed that when I'm using the phone, I can only surf at 1X not EVDO.....Still OK for email though ...
