Has anyone else had this problem with their a1200 / MING??
I purchased my phone over 1 month ago and it keeps powering down for no reason. I am always being cut off from my conversations and having to resend messages due to the phone powering down.

the phone will just go dead...the battery is always fully charged and this sometimes happens even while connected to charger!

I love this phone and all of its features but it's getting very frustrating!!

can it be flashed or am i SOL?? I heard that some versions do this depending on where they originated from and its release date.

Before you flash it or anything like that, most of the power down problems are related to the battery. Check the battery contacts, see if there is any dirt/dust on them. The slightest amount of dust could cause the phone to power off. Also it could be a faulty battery as well.

also check your power management settings, there an option to automatically shut off after a certain period of inactivity, good luck

I got this problem. The battery indicator shows empty when the battery is full for me. I think the phone is defective. Owned it for like a week or so. Crapped out already.

i've had a few units in our shop that say no battery or invalid battery when charging. replace the battery that should solve the problem

I have a similar problem as well. Lucky my package came with 2 batteries so i swapped the other one in and now its perfectly fine. Its most def. the battery..
By the way... Does anyone else have trouble getting the battery out! I always have to use the stylus to get it out!

Yea it's a pain to get out but just push the battery towards the camera, there's like a metal spring kinda mechanim that pushes the battery down to make it snug. Just push up on it and pull up and it should come right out. As for battery problems... Mine came with 2x batteries as well but swapping them did not solve the problem...

Maybe you did get defective batteries. Because i swapped back to the "defective battery" And again it would restart. So in my case its the battery. I would suggest you buy a battery... im sure its cheap online.. (ebay) or whatever. Test your luck.
And havo may i ask you what do you think about your a1200? You have a nice history of good phones, so are you happy with this motorola? funny i was actually thinking of getting the 903sh but instead i got the A1200!
