Motorola L6 Help...

Hello all. I am rather new at all of this and never have posted in any forums before, I just read them and found problem solvers to all my situations except for this one. I have a Motorola L6 (Euro-Version) that I use here in the USA on T-Mobile's network. The issues that I am having is one: Everytime that I get a voicemail, the phone doesn't read that I have a "New Message" but sends me a text reading something like --@, yeah, I know, huh? I went through the menu structure and programed everything to T-Mobile's specs but still no luck! Anyways, now the problem has gone way beyond that. Now the phone (as soon as you put in the battery) goes into "Boot Loader" mode and won't go any further. If I leave the phone plugged in the charger for about 5 hours, the phone will then be able to come on. I have never flashed or flexed before and not sure it will work in this situation because everytime I connect the phone to the comp. to try and work on it, it starts but then reads "Critical Error". If there is someone out there that can help me, PLEASE!
