Bluetooth

Well i dont know if I'm doing anything wrong, but when I setup a new connection to a phone(which I have tried on the i870 and the a920) it works, but when I try to send something it never brings up the icon to beam bluetooth. I know with i870 it connects then when it's finished it disconnects from the phone, any insight on what the problem is?
