I have looked everywhere on this forum. I went through 5 pages of the Motorola forum and Phone problem subform, and tried everything and just cant figure this stuff out.

Well I just got my Motorola V3i with DAP since I couldnt stand the 50 song limit. I am TRYING so hard to get the settings for MEdia Net and MMS to work. The settngs I tried at first where the one off the cingular website. They worked for my unlocked v3, v3i, unlocked slvr l7, and unlocked slvr l6. For some reason they WILL NOT work with this V3i.

I tried the settings directly from Cingular and they dont work.

I tried having them sent from this site: http://www.mywds.com/worp/ota/cingu...rue&phoneId=434

and that also didnt work. It just made a profile locked to my phone.

I tried djdownhills settings and they also didnt work.

Further yet I cannot make anymore profiles. I have the MEdia Net and MMS profile in there but I cant add anymore. My phone has: BT Mobile, Express (one sent from site above, locked to the phone), MEdia Net, MMS, O2, O2 MMS, Orange, T-mobile, Virgin and Vodafone. I would like to delete all these extra profiles but it wont let me when I go into options it just says "Set Default" or "Edit" with the Express profile it only has the option to "set default" the only 2 profiles I can delete are the 2 I created (MEdia Net, MMS)

So the problem I am trying to solve is:

1. Get rid of all the extra profiles
2. Get my MEdia Net and MMS settings working.

So someone please help me. I have been trying for hours and cant figure anything out. I really would like these features up and running...

These are the Websession & Proxy off my phone:

You need to use P2KTools 8.0.6 and delete the old ones and upload these. Make sure you set the attributes to system after you upload them.

Hi,

Thanks for your response. Sorry but I am a noob at this stuff, the only mod I have ever done to a phone was triband > quadband on a L6 and that was with a step to step guide.

So please help.

I am assuming these work for the Pebl too, I cant get the settings on the Pebl to work. Now this is really making me mad...

With p2ktools 8.0.6 and once connected:

1. Click Refresh.
2. Your phone will show the a directory of the phone.
3. Scroll to where you see the Web Session and Websession Proxy file to the right.
4. Highlight both of them and right click Delete All.
5. Click Upload and a pop up box will come up. navigate to where the files I posted are located on your pc and click OK or Open.
6. Once the files upload the program will auto-refresh. Highlight the 2 files again.
7. At the bottom left hand side of the program put a check in the System box and click Change.
8. Click Restart at the top.
9. After the phone restarts the web session sould be applied.

This is also the same for the PEBL.

Thanks for your quick response.

I can follow those directions they are easy enough BUT 1 last problem.

I cant get my V3i or Pebl to connect to the computer. When i plug in the usb cable it only does the modem driver.

So is there any place I can find a driver?

Maybe these phones are pocessed or something cause my computer wont recognize either of the (Dell e1705)

I try todo it manually through Control Panel so it goes through the wizard and I pick "Motorola V3i" from the list of devices plugged in and it starts the driver wizard out say "Motorola V3i" and I point ot the driver folder and once it finds the driver it switchs and installs "Usb Modem" everytime for every usb port and I have tried all six.

I dont understand what could possible be wrong....

Do you have the phone set to mass storage? Go to connections in settings, then usb setting and set it to mass storage, if its already set to it then I cannot be of any more help.
