I am looking for a 3+mp camera phone. Anybody have any recommendations? Currently it looks like I am going to get the sony ericsson k790 but I just found out the nokia n73 has a 3.2mp camera also. Now I am stuck and don't know what to get. Any help would be appreciated and if you have any other phones for me to check out I will gladly take a look.

Sharp 903 is one of the best GSM camera phones on the market.

There is also the Samsung P850, decent performance but if you move while taking the pic the pictures will come out looking warped (not blurry, but like buildings will be crooked).

Then there's the powerhorse N93 from Nokia. It has optical zoom (like the sharp 903) but also includes VGA video recording.

Out of the N73 and the K790, I'd get the N73. The series 60 is a big plus if you like it

Actually the n93 is a bit too big and clunky for me. I have a sony ericsson s710a which is really fat so I wanna get rid of it for something smaller. What sort of phones from the 60 series are you talking about?

The N73 has series 60, which is a big advantage over the K790

and optical zoom too

Oh by 60 series you meant the OS I thought you were talking about a phone series lol. Is the series 60 any good because I never tried it.

Are there any other phones coming out out in the next couple months that I should be looking at also?

the k790 takes better pics....but the N73 has S60 plus better video recording capabilities

That actually hasn't been officially proven since the production version of the N73 hasn't been compared to a K800

The K800 has a useable flash. Thus, its a given that it is the superior overall camera.

how? The N73 has a flash as well

How do you know whether or not the N73's flash is usable or not...its just been released. And althought a flash contributes to the quality of some pictures, it will do nothing for the others. If anything optical zoom makes the camera more useable.

Yea...well...no.

When you speak of the camera in a phone, you are referring to the actual camera, not the flash or LED diode that also happens to be present. Many people would but the N73 over the K790 if the N73's camera could take better pics, regardless of the quality of the flash.

With your reasoning, they could stick a xenon flash on a Moto V300 and it would be a superior overall camera.

What does a useable flash mean? Does it mean you have it on all the time like the s710a?
Also the more I look at the n93 the more I am liking it since it doesn't seem as big in a person's hands then I thought.

I think by useable he meant that it was zenon instead of LED, zenon being the same type of flash as normal cameras use. Therefore it would be useful enough to actually be on the same level as normal cameras in dark situations.
