Even though I put my 8700g into the holster the correct way, I've been scared of it falling out. Am a big guy, and at times, on my hip, I feel as it I could either knock it out by accident, or something silly...
Has ANYONE knocked their 8700 from the supplied holster? I've now bought the T-Mobile Napa Leather veritcal pouch (although I wanted the horizontal one, could not be found anywhere), just to be safer...

I've never had any issues with any of the holsters that have been supplied with any of my BB devices. Of course, you know that the supplied holsters have been known to launch the BB devices. I'm currently using the T-Mobile vertical leather pouch. I like it. I've also used the fortte open face pda case and pouch as well. I was currently looking at the seidio silicone skin for the 8700g.

I haven't used the plastic holster that comes w/ the BlackBerry in a very long time. After using it w/ my 7280 I found that it scratched my BlackBerry or it always fell out of the holster. (I've seen many people have the same issue also... their berries being launched out of the OEM holster and hitting the ground). I bought a leather holster then and used it w/ the 7280 and 7290. My 8700r I keep in an OEM leather holster because the 8700r just isn't as tough as the old 72xx series. I don't want have it fall out of my holster and get damaged so once again I've invested in a leather holster instead.

I guess I hadn't had any issues with the supplied holsters that come with the BB devices because I have another hoster or case for it within a week of purchasing my new BB device. ;-)

I've been using the T-Mobile case for the 8700g. So far so good. But, I think am putting on weight, and it's now a bit irritating to get it out of the case when it rings or vibrates for a message. Having it loose in my pocket seems to be comfortable, and quite a few people in the office seem to do the same thing...
Disadvantages of it being in my pocket (since I work in I.T.) is it might get scratched or the screen may get broken - since am always under someone's desk install a pc...
Maybe I just need to lose weight - LOL! Or better still when am driving, I should not have it on my waist; I think that's when it's most uncomfortable...
