i found that physical damage is acceptable for all motorola phone, only if under warranty. threfore, if you have any motorola phone is scratched, broken screen, or dust under screen, you can send it back to your dealer, but remember to list your reason " phone scratch/ no Display, power down.....any reason that you can imagine......

***NO water damaged****

Firstly, I have no idea why you would double post/cross post this in here and in the Fido forum. Second of all, your incorrect. Physical Damage is NOT covered by warranty. Say all you want, but its written pretty clear in the warranty document whats covered and not. I sure hope I'm the one who gets your phone, cus I'd love to give you a nice quote for physical damage. If you want, I can gladly send one of those warranty documents back to you when I send you the estimate.

I sent my phone into Motorola for a problem with the send button. I received it back 4 days later stating that it was out of warranty due to physical abuse. As stated by Motorola, specifically, a scratch on the lens. The only scratch on the lens is on the outside lens and it is really a very light scratch. Not a crack but a light scratch. The scratch came about from being inside my pocketbook. Needless to say, I am ticked off!!

motorola will not bounce your phone because of a scratch on the lens. Physical damage could mean you got water inside and it corroded away the components, or the circuit board was bent/warped, or the traces were broken/blown, you did unauthorized repair to your phone by opening/attempting to service it yourself, or a connector inside is broken off beyond repairs.

I agree with you; however, the slip they sent back to me states "physical damage due to scratch on lens". I have not taken this phone apart, I have no idea how, and no water damage. I have written them and they have told me to send it back. It is just aggravating. I was a bit shocked by getting the phone back.
