a. Run regeditSTG
b. Navigate to HK Local Machine\SOFTWARE\HTC\CommManager
c. Change the "SupportedFunctions" DWORD "Value data" to 7.
d. Add an additional directory/folder and name it "6". (A simple way to do this is to copy and paste another dierctory and just change the values).
e. Within the directory, change the default string value to: "WLAN" without the quotes.
f. Restart your device and WiFi should be back in your CommManager application.

1. Bought T-Mobile SDA 2. Unlocked it (both SIM and application). 3. Downloaded Cingular ROM (and Clearview while you're there) 4. Installed Registry Editor 5. Added Wifi (thanks Swivel): a. Run regeditSTG 6. Installed TCPMP. 7. Mapped the music keys by installing TCPMP Hot Keys (Device or SD) from this site. 8. Remapped the "t-zones" key to IE with MSN & IE Key from same site in #7. 9. Set up Cingular* Internet Settings and MMS Settings. *For Blue settings (which I used), see HERE. 10. Sat back and enjoyed my fully featured Cingular Blue SDA with Wifi! It took me quite a while to figure this all out, so hopefully I'm able to save some of my fellow geeks a little time. Here are 2 more links that you might want to check out: SDA FAQ 2125 Tips |

It shows that I have wifi in my comm manager, but then I'm not able to view any web pages on wifi. It keeps saying: "The page cannot be displayed or downloaded because the connection was lost. Check the connection and try again later."
So now I either need advice on how to salvage the wifi with the Cingular rom, or I have to switch back to the QTEK rom. As for the latter possibility, do I have to do anything special to switch from the Cingular rom to the QTEK? I successfully followed the instructions from the webpage http://tech.bryandavis.net. However, that was switching an SDA rom to QTEK. Is there a thread on this board that tells you how to switch from the 2125 rom to QTEK? I'm searching for it now and haven't found it yet. The registry is different. His instructions no longer seem to apply. Thanks. |
