V325 PC connectivity?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Could anyone tell me whether or not my V325 can connect to a PC for file transfer? I noticed that the charging port on the bottom of the phone is a USB, and that an option titled "Data Ready" (under Tools and Settings > System > Device Info > Other Info, I think) was on "Yes."

I'm really hoping that this means I can connect to my PC (with Windows XP), and if so, is there somewhere I can get the drivers or a program for this interactivity if needed?

what provider??

if verizon... search the Verizon/Moto section for V325 (i.e. use the Board's SEARCH fuction, for search term use V325... in the "search in" pick the Verizon Moto section)... you'll find a few threads discussing and explaining this...

Not only that.. in this section... is a "HELP WITH V325 and USB CABLE" thread...

why yes it can. I installed MPT 4 and it synched right but was I was not able to transfer files as the multimedia studio was grayed out. You have to do some other things to make it work. i have been trying to do that for quite some time now. I have read and read and read these threads til my eyes are bloodshot. I guess I'm a bit apprehensive. But yes it can be done.

First post here, but....

You have to go into the setup: On the actual phone image click the Menu button, setup, general setup, change modem, click next. Click next again, tick the "do not automatically detect driver" box, click next.

Choose 'Motorola CDMA'. Scroll to 'V323M', the click next. Click 'Finish'.

Enjoy. Works great with my V325. You could even try modifying the 'Detect.inf' file but I haven't had any luck with that. And Seem editing an 'M' to the end of the 'v325' doesn't help.

But you do have to do the Offset 6A, Bit0 edit to the phone to make it work, even after getting the MultiMedia Studio icon to show...

Like I said.. search the Verizon/moto section for V325... and you'll find the thread that discussses this...
