Ok there semms to be little disscussion on the nextels blackberry's. You see I have both, the 7100i that i bought from nextel and i have a 7520 that i found at a wireless store used for only $50 bucks! Both the phones are on boost mobile and work great for just phone and DC but some 3rd party apps dont work because i dont have any service books. Is there any way I can manualy send the service though the desktop manager? i know i can back them up and transfer them to the other blackberry. and where can i get the sevice books in the first place?

Service books are sent over the air to "active" Blackberry units with a data plan.

Even if you got service books downloaded via your computer, no data plan, NO DATA!

Yea thats true but its been proven that these service books:

WAP transport
WAP Browser
Desktop [CICAL]
Desktop [CMIME]
Blackberry Browser
"With so few Service Books, this essentially forces all the 3rd party apps to use native TCP"
All work for boostmobile to get the essentials working.
