I just got this phone yesterday and I hate it, atleast Verizon's version. So, basically I want to use my MP3's as ringtones. Downloaded the neccesarry programs, and get my phone to connect. I'm able to fill in my contact which is great but I notice no Multimedia section to phone tools. I do a little research and find out that Verizon wants you to use their VCast but you can seem edit the phone and unlock it. So I perform the seem edit and it works fine. Go to plug the phone into the USB cable connected to computer and get "unauthorized charger" error. I get nothing now. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling drivers to no avail. I did make a backup of my original .seem file but its no use since I cant transfer to the phone. Any ideas?

i had this same issue...go into device manager and uninstall your usb drivers. restart and you should have no problem.

I think that I might be experiencing a similar issue:

I got MPT working with my Motorola v325 after installing the drivers supplied by
{TWS}Sentinel in the following thread:
http://www.howardforums.com/showthr...ht=v325+drivers

I haven't done any seem edits or hacking on the phone. I was using MPT (3.11) and I was able to add some contacts to my phone. In MPT, when setting up the modem settings and everything I had to tell it to use the generic cdma driver (in this version it didn't have v325 or v323 listed) and it worked for a while. Later I opened MPT back up to add more contacts and it was working for a while but suddenly lost connection ( I think when I was attempting to sync the data).
I restarted the program and it couldn't access the phone.
I made sure that it was still using the same settings and everything but it didn't work.
I notice that now when I plug in the phone to the computer, the battery power display is blinking, but the power bars are still indicating that it is charged, like I was trying to charge the battery with the usb cable.Right when it is plugged in the outside display reads "unauthorized" and then "charge complete" and then the battery display starts to blink.

Does anyone know why this is happening and why it isn't working after I had it working? Any help is appreciated.

These work -> http://mark.cdmaforums.com/Files/DriverTool-421a.exe

To use this... disconnect your phone from the computer. Run the Drivertool.exe, then reconnect your phone to a USB port Built into your pc (DO NOT USE A PORT ON A USB HUB). Window's Add New Hardware Wizard will run, search for, find, install the driver, and your phone will then be listed as a Motorola USB Modem in device manager.
