New firmware, firmware modding?!

I read in the thread about Java/NES emulation that there is no seam editing for kyocera phones. Does that mean that there is no way for us to mod our firmware on this phone?

I am also curious about foreign firmware, specificly european style. However I doubt that will be an option as they are all gsm if I am correct.

im wondering this same thing and im currently researching, but ive found nothing so far, if anything ill let you know.... what i can use is someones original phone image because i erased some files that came with the phone that i want back and i lost my backup.... if anything ill let you know..

If this is the same thing as "flashing", Alltel is telling me I have to come into the store for them to do that.

If their is a firmware update you will have to go to the store. As far as a seem edit some one out their has probally figured it out. If their is one for the razor their is got to be one for kyocera's. I had to take my razor in to have the new firmware updated but I also have an seem editing program for this razor.

flashing phones is possible outside of the store, its just frowned upon and violates the warranty. I am not sure about Kyocera because I have yet to find a flash file posted anywhere, but with my moto v710 I have flashed it numerous times. I am still looking into it, but I know it will be possible because I have the Kyocera PST and it allows to load/flash a phone, but I am still looking for a flash file. I will post an update if I find out anything else.

Yeah, I was wondering if there was a way to mod the firmware so there is a rewind/fast forward for the videos.. So annoying when someone calls in the middle of a movie..

I was wondering were you got that pst/flash program for the kyocera phones, and anyluck on finding firmwares? i was gonna buy this phone on ebay for cheap from southcelluar??? never heard of them but ya, i can't find the stuff needed to flash it to cricket.. damn...
