7130e Bluetooth Disconnects / Reboots PLEASE HELP

My wife has a Blackbery 7130e from Verizon. I bought a Jabra Bluetooth headset but it.

1. Paired
2. Disconnected and sometimes rebooted (mostly just looses connected and reconnects)

So I purchased a Motorola H500 Bluetooth headeset. I had the same results.

Verizon was much help and I can't talk with anyone at Blackberry. I had read somewhere that installing Bell or Telus Operating Systems can resolve this issue. But I don't know where to get those or how to install them.

ANY help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. And thank you in advance.

I believe that Verizon has a software update available for this phone, which is supposed to fix this issue. The way you'll know if you need it is to look at your battery icon - if it appears "cut off" then you should get the new firmware. If the battery icon is all there, you should probably exchange it for another 7130.

You can go to the Verizon website and find the software downloads somewhere in there, I believe you want the wireless data area off of the "site menu" screen.

hoppyjr - thank you for your help. I found the firmware download page (which wasn't easy) at: http://vzw.smithmicro.com/blackberry/

There seems to be two versions and I'm downloading them now.
My 7130 DOES have the "half battery" icon. However when I was on "tier 3 support" with Verizon this morning, they had me check my software version and it was up to date - they said if it was 4.1+ then it was.

So when I can, I'll backup the data and try the different softare.

Do you know which version would be better?

Thank you again responding, I hope it works.
