CDM8910 LCD screen stopped working..

Our 8910 got dropped out of my girlfriends pocket and landed open, when I picked it up the front LCD screen no longer works. I disassembled the phone and the ribbon cable for the screen was still connected, I played with it a bit and sometimes the main screen light will come on, but mostly if I "hyper-extend" the phone further than its made to be open (without the front cover on). The main LCD doesnt do anything though. The screen itself isnt broken, its still clear black with no sign of any cracks- it just wont display anything.

Also, if you press the outside camera button it says "wait a moment".. then just goes back to the clock. The ribbon cable for the camera is attached firmly..

Any ideas??
