V3X Problem

Ive had this v3x less than a month and already have a problem -

Last night half way through typing a text the phone just turned its self off (battery was not low at the time).

I tried turning the phone back on but that didnt work. Now when I plug the charger in the screen lights up and the battery icon is flashing red but the phone does not charge and still wont turn on.

Anything I can try before sending it back for replacement / repair?

Thanks in advance.

It may be a loose fitting battery.... some have mentioned using a piece of paper folded and stuffed between the battery and its cover...

Personally .... I suggest a BC70 battery. Its thicker and fills the void...and lasts longer

I was just getting ready to buy a BC70 battery because it was dying after only a days use. But ive now passed the phone on to my girlfriend, she only had it one day when it broke down. Ive now got a K800i but I feel bad for her because she now has no phone to use.

Forgot to say ive now found that by holding down the power button while the phone is charging it will start up but just after the welcome screen it shuts down again

why do these things happen on the weekend when theres nobody at the dealers to talk to

Alright - ive just had a play, had a fiddle with the battery and managed to get the phone to start up, But its now getting very hot, so hot in fact that if you put your lips on the keypad it burns (strange test I know) but it looks like a more serious problem than just a loose battery. Will take it back on Monday and hopefully they will give me a replacement.
