My P900 sucked bad on Cingular. It sucked so bad on Cingular I sold it and got a V635. I had used the P900 on Tmobile for a good year and a half with zero problems. In in Denver.
I've never used a P910 so cannot comment on that directly.
My suggestion is to find someone with a Cingular SIM and switch for a few days to test out the service in your area. If the phone is unlocked then this shouldn't be a problem. Heck.. buy a prepaid SIM if you have to. It's cheaper for testing than a contract hassle.

Like othes have asked, it all depends on the area you're at and where you're planning to go. I mainly stay in the California. Reception has never been an issue with my p910i on Cing. Orange. I've gone up north to the bay area and down to San Diego and its worked flawlessly.

Side note, you can do alot with p910 as long as you have unlimited data plan.

I have a P910i on T-Mobile and it works superbly in the Houston area. I moved over to Cingular and found poor coverage due to this area being under the old 850mhz band. You might check the Celluloco web site and look at their FAQs. They will be able to tell you if you have coverage and what frequency band you will need. As mentioned above Cingular marketed this phone as the P910a which was 850/1800/1900.

I have p910a on cingular no problem in the Philly Area. I also have unlimited data which rules.

How is the P910A on Cingular browsing speed-wise? If the phone has no EDGE support, how fast is web browsing? Like dial-up, or faster? I am debating a used P910A vs. a new Treo 700p on Sprint with their highspeed PowerVision.

its faster than an SK, that i know. I was using google map on my p910i over the weekend during our san diego trip and it came very handy while on the road.

Sorry to ask a dumb question...what is a SK?

Well if you're going to compare it to your home cable it's way slower. However if you turn off graphics it's not too bad. Also if you used sites more geared towards mobile devices like wap. sites and such they scream.
