I am thinking of getting a flip phone. It comes down to the V3x or v635. Will i have any problems using the v3x on Cingular in NYC? Thanks for your input.

Be carefull as the Moto V3X,non-US version Is only a tri-band phone, operating in the US on 1900Mz only. Cingular operates on 850 AND 1900Mz. The unlocked non-US V3X would work, but you will be prone to drop outs, dead spots, because you will be only able to use 1900Mz. The US model is a quad band phone, with HSDPA, If you can find the US version you should be fine.

I have never seen a U.S Quad Band Moto V3X. But I would go with the motorola if you have the correct coverage in your area.
