New white face gauges

I just ordered a custom set of white face gauges from www.speedhut.com and was wondering if anyone had any experiences with them, or with their product/s?

I am a little nervous about installing them, as I really have never done any splicing or wiring work on this car, and the idea doesn't sit too well with me.

These will be going on a 2003 Ford Focus SVT replacing the stock titanium face gauges that light up green and flicker horribly.

Wow those are actually pretty cool, and I'm not really into the whole modding thing. TONS of options.

As far as the flickering goes, aren't these just overlays that are going to use the same lighting as the current ones, just a different output color? Because if that's the case, overlays won't fix the flickering issue.

Well, the gauges come with a standard inverter, which as far as I can tell, will be spliced into the factory wiring, to change the color of the gauges. My current gauges light up green, and these will be red.

Right but wouldn't the already halfway faulty wiring cause the same issues, spliced or not?

My wiring IQ is equivalent to that of a rock, so I apologize if I don't get this stuff

Is this the one you bought?

I bought similar ones for my car off eBay and I really like them. Simple to hook up too, I just spliced into the parking light wire off the back of the headlight switch and it was easy as that.

Yes, those are the gauges, minus the blue, insert red instead. They look identical to the factory gauges. I am hoping that the install goes well.

I get it now, nevermind
