About two months ago I got an unlocked and unbranded Pebl. I loved it. But there were a lot of little hitches with it that I gather are easily fixed if you know what you're doing (i.e. phone speaks British english, constant voicemail notifications, text message sent whenever I got a voicemail). They were all annoying, but I really did like the phone.

Unfortunately I float tested the phone last week and it's dead. So now I have to buy a new phone ... again. I would love to get another Pebl, but to be honest I don't have the knowledge, computer equipment (I'm mac-based), or time to do the seem edits to make those annoying things go away.

So what I'm wondering is if it's possible to buy an unlocked Pebl with all that stuff done already for you and if so where? I guess otherwise I'm looking at just buying a branded (ick) razr, which is not at all my first choice.

Any thoughts on the matter? Thanks!

Wasn't there a page on Cingular's site that programs your phone for you?

Well if someone can walk us through the edits I think we could do it ourselves.

Can someone post a FAQ for us?
