Ramble ? for Cingular 7290

I have searched and read through almost all the posts until I was blue in the face so please don't hate that I am posting. All the posts that I have read recommend using Ramble as the alternative for IM+ as it is free however I can't get mine to work at all I have followed all recoomendations load take out the batter for OS rebuild and so fourth and nothing. Basically its getting stuck on the reconnect screen I allowed all ports during initial setup ensured username and passwd were correct. I dont' know if maybe it has something to do with my BES server or not. A little background I'm IT for the company I work for so have access to making changes to my server if need be.
Handheld Info: Black Berry 7290 v4.10.292 (Platform 1.8.0.144)
Anyhelp would greatly be appreciated.
