Ok well i was testing out my bluetooth on my razr with my step brothers phone..so he sets it up for me and when he connects the phones together ( the first time i used the bluetooth since i got the phone) you have to setup a Pin hen you connect to a device you enter it to connect and he set it to some number i kno the number what wanted to change it to something i would remember.. so i call t-mobile and they go through like 5 people .....no one knows of any kind of Pin to setup bluetooth...and it shows the you have to enter a pin on tmobile phone demos and everything ...so they couldnt help me...i kno how to reset it by doing a master clear but that would erase everything and i am not going to do that... thanks

Geez...t-mobile.

whenever you pair any two devices you'll need a pin. For BT headsets, or devices, they usually tell you what the pin is in the manual.

HOWEVER, for phone to phone, or phone to dongle (PC), you can in fact randomly choose any pin number.

why do you care what the pin is? The pin is exclusively related to the pairing created between your phone and your (cousins?). That's it.

If you MUST., just delete his phones profile in your "/mydevices/" and repair them, choosing which ever pin you want. Frankly, It's quite irrelevant.

yep, the pin number to pair a phone with a bluetooth dongle is anything you want. You pretty much wasted your time calling Tmo customer service. They probably thought you lost the password to your voicemail or were asking for a subsidy unlocking code for your sim card.

for the pin some company use 0000 or 8888, others like nokia will give you a preset pin when you purchase the bt headset and the pin is not changable, only pc to phone and phone to phone bt pin is changable by the owner.
