I been trying to upload my photosfrom my phone to my computer using a usb cord ...and through this forum's search engine ive come across two free software programs that that I cant seem to get to work bitpim which supports the other two razor programs but not the V3 .... and p2k commader which I can get to detect my phone (as AT device... i have know clue what that means) but when I try and load it i get these errors ...NO p2k device connected.......USB IO time out... and data right fail.... and volume data fail

does this mean it wont work with my phone...or does it mean i installed the p2k drivers wrong because if I did can you please help me

You might want to take the time to fill in your profile with your exact phone model, and your wireless carrier...

Because if you have a Verizon Razr, it could be either a V3C or a V3M, and has the Verizon RED UI, and some limits... If you have Alltel, Telus, or Bell, its a V3C with the motorola UI...

Verizon, Alltel, Telus, and Bell are all CDMA phones.

If you have T-Mobile, Cingular, Rogers, etc.. then you have a GSM Razr, and there are various models of that.. V3, V3i, V3x, etc...

If you have a CDMA Razr, BitPim should work, provided you use the correct drivers to get Windows to see your phone as a Moto USB modem.

But if you have a VERIZON Razr, there are some limits!!

If you have a CDMA Razr, P2KCommander needs something like PST or MSU to properly suspend the phone so that P2KCommander will connect to it...

If you have GSM Razr, BitPim will NOT WORK... But P2KCommander should work using the drivers that come with it..

You have a Verizon V3M... so you have a CDMA phone. see http://mark.cdmaforums.com and use the FAQ and HOW TO's pages there...

Ok, you have Cingular... SO BitPim wont work... and since you have a GSM Phone... I can only guess.. but its my understanding that P2KCommander should work fine with your phone, no other software needed..

HOWEVER you do need to make sure the drivers P2KCommander uses are properly installed...
