E815 Black Picture Reset Bug?

Hi guys, I just got my phone two days ago and was taking some pictures at night and found that if I took a picture of something in very low light conditions, my phone will either freeze for a few seconds, or it will give me the HELLOMOTO blue startup screen and reset. In both cases, the picture does not get saved. I read up on this issue and found that it was actually rather common.
Now, seeing as I just got my phone, I figure it would have all the latest updates and such right? I want to know if I should try to replace my phone, since I still do have 13 days to do so. It's a Moto E815 from Verizon, seems to work great besides that problem. I do plan on doing seem edits in the future, so I want a stable platform to work with, wondering if all E815s are afflicted, or if some are just bad apples? Doesn't seem like there's a consensus on this yet...
