Wow! could be first decent Siemens in long time!

yeah.... Siemens was the original slider mogul with the sl55....that thing was SMALL, but honestly, they need to redeem themselves with this phone because their flip and candy bar line up is something I WOULDNT want

The SL10 was the first slider phone. The SL91 doesn't seem to photograph well or something, or maybe it just is that devoid of surface features. I'm not sure if I like it or not. The SL55 was a sweet little phone, but I have to admit, I like the SL75 better.

Maybe I'm wrong but the sl55 was the first BIG THING from siemens... I remember this section of the forum was flooded with would be owners. Obviously, each generation has gotten better from sl55 --> sl65 --> Sl75 but

but since then every carrier has a slider...

Siemens sl55 was SMALL and that was one reason why it was a hit for me, but nowadays its about the touch pad....

It's too bad the SL91 is not 850MHz enabled. If it was I'd look into buying it but 1900MHz alone just doesn't cut it when it comes to reception with Rogers Wireless.

Hi guys, anywhere selling the SL91 yet???

Has it passed FCC??

The phone is being released in Germany in November as a high priority model by one of the major operater.

It wont be released in US though. But it will be available as an import model.

i really wish it does get released but given the fact that benq have filled for bankruptcy and have stated that they will close european operations im a bit concerned that it will not make it to the market

even expansys now have it listed as discontinued :-(

Hi!

Who's the german major operator? Till now I never have seen a BenQ-Siemens SL91 in germany

Bye

The major operator (as far as I know) was supposed to be T-Mobile, but with the whole bankruptcy and insolvency of BenQ Mobile, no major carrier in Germany has since carried any new BenQ-Siemens phones. The only SL91s I've seen are on eBay.de, but they are going for outrageous amounts.

im starting to think that this phone will not see the light of day

the auction on ebay looks fake to me too :-(

what a shame

i was sooooo looking forward to this phone - more than any phone
