I have a quick question for you "V" experts and your help would be greatly appreciated.
I have the "V" and I am trying to get MP3 ringtones on my phone. I followed the step by step instructions as posted but for some reason it never worked. The first thing that goes wrong is when I try to create a "ringers" folder I dont think it saves to my phone but this could be directly linked to my second problem. When I Get Data from my phone it works fine but when I send Data to my phone this is what comes up.

COM7: could not open port: (5;CreateFile; Access is denied)

What version of the lg vx9800 or "the v" do you have. If you have any version of 2 and up then you cant do it through the memory card, but if you have version one you can. Are you trying to get the ringtones onto your memory card, or through the usb cable through bitpim in the phones data? Once I find that out and your version number I can help you, but until then...

Thanks for the response...this is me under my new sign in name.

I have version V01. I am trying to do both really. I make the ringtones but when I go to transfer them over using a usb jumpdrive the "ringers" folder doesnt show up. When I try to Send Data to the phone with the ringtones is when I get the error message.

So basically I cant get the ringtones to show up on my phone. That in turn leads to the second problem because I dont think there are any ringtones to send over the phone.
