I have a problem with the video options for my v3c Verizon phone that has been flashed with ALT_V3c_04.04.00R_UPGRADE_01. There is no zoom function, and the video lengths are: mms short=10sec, mms long=15sec, and maximum=15sec. Is there a way to add more functions to the camera as well as extending the video length? I have tried the following:
-Extended Video Duration- *This hack works with the Verizon UI, not confirmed to work with Alltel yet....??
Connect your phone to your pc via USB. Open Bitpim. (or P2Kcommander) Go to Filesystem Tab Navigate to brew/mod/arcmedia Right click on arcconfig.ini file and Save it to your desktop Edit the file using notepad or any text editor (Find the line VidDuration and change the number to 120) Save the file In bitpim right-click on arcconfig.ini file and choose Overwrite. Pick the file from your desktop. After it overwrites, close bitpim, unplug phone, and thats it.
When recording video, the counter will go to 00:59, then 00:00, and it will keep going untill it reaches 00:00 2 times.
Step by step instruction credit goes to Blazer380
EDIT* If you change VidDuration to 240 the video recording time is increased to 4 min 55 sec. File size is somewhere around 2.5mb.

Well, here is a simply way to change your video lenght
Tools:
P2K Advanced Editor Build 4929 download here
The steps are very easy
Connect your phone and open the program.Let the program recognize your phone, if not, just clik the "connect in p2k mode" buttom
Now just follow the attach image.
1-In Phone service, click "Video"
2-Click "Read from Phone"
3-Select the size limit for your phone. you can choose Mb or Kb
4-Click on write to phone
5-Close this windows
6-Restart your phone. Thatīs all.
You have the new video record file size limit.
Obviusly must set the video size to Max on your phone.

So... if anyone is able and willing to help, it will be greatly appreciated.
P.S. I have yet to find anything on adding more options to the video recording, such as zoom and style. Although I did manage to enable zoom once, the video recording got an error so I had to reverse the changes.

That motox.info link is for a GSM phone (the V3i) - I've not seen anyone post a way to increase the video length on the Motorola UI V3c.
... and the wiki link states that it is not known to work on anything other than a Verizon UI V3c/V3m - that still holds true.
