Razr charging problems

I have a really new cingular razr v3. Recently it has been getting very low on battery life very quickly. When i plug it into the charger it says it is charging. But when i unplug it from the charger it says its still charging! Im confused. Does anyone know what the problem is and how i can fix it? I should also mention my boyfriend has the same phone and it did the same thing with his charger too.

i had the same problem on my slvr l6 and i bought a new charger and now it works perfectly i think there is a bad batch of chargers out there
