Hello,

Does anyone know of a good place to shop for 3rd party apps for the M600? I know there might not be that many apps available yet, but still..

Thanks,

There are relatively few useful 3rd party apps for M600i out right now. Mostly games and stuff.

Most makers of actually useful software that I have spoken to say they expect to be releasing UIQ 3 software in about a month. Looks like coinciding with P990 release.

and i was complaining about a lack of programs for the n80
its even worse for uiq 3.0 theres absolutely nothing interesting in terms of 3rd party apps out there right now... not even themes!

Ok, thanks for the replies. I guess it's the price you pay for beeing on the bleeding edge of mobile phones...

There are quite a few themes out.

It helps S60 v3 that there are 8 phones released compared to the 1 for UIQ.

yeah and they suck...
most of the apps for s60 v3 are games as well... but they have a better selection then uiq3

hopefully with the release of the p990 things will look better for us m600 owners ... even our own uiq forum sucks, nobody even posts lol

Hi all,
Yes there does seem to be a general lack of apps that work on the newer versions of Symbian but one that is both freeware and excellent IMO. Is Swiss Manager which allows you to take control of your running apps and reclaim Ram and is easy to use and understand. IMO a must have app for smooth running of your phone here is the link http://cellphonesoft.com/.

The built in task manager already does that - very well.

Hi Skagen ,
Take a look its a free app and trust me it knocks the socks off the built in app its so much better and easier to use i would of happily paid for it. If you try it and you don't like it you can always deinstall it you never know you may actually like it.

I'll vouch for Swiss Manager. It is MUCH MUCH more functional than the built in task manager.

spug.net is down - but i noticed that this thread has been moved to
http://secentral.net/forum/index.php?topic=13309.60
with broken links fixed and lots of new stuff - if you are looking for uiq3 tips, links, freeware, reviews - all on one thread, this is it - highly recommended
