Different softare modems for different USB ports w/ v3c

Searched, but no answer and I figured this was the most appropriate forum.
Depending on which USB port on my laptop, I plug my v3c into, It either uses Motorola USB Modem or Motorola USB Modem #2. It even made me reinstall the drivers twice. This isnt really annoying, except whenver I use DUN I have to reselect which modem to use depending on which USB port I have plugged my v3c into. Any ideas?

depending on what port your plugged into determines the COM port i believe. since its considered a usb modem i thinks thats what the prolem is. best bet is to continue to use one port.
