Hey guys,

my Qtek 8500 is stuck - it displays the "phone unlock" when i turn it on but it wont let me enter the code - i need to hard reset it. I read some of the other posts but those dont seem to work - any other ideas?

The one i read said to hold the 2 softkeys while the phone is off and then turn the phone on.

Have you tried removing the battery? And on the hard reset, you have to hold down the two "select keys" for lack of a better term as well as the power button. Let go when the power comes on. You should get the hard-reset menu.

haha yeh I need to remove the battery to turn it off now - but whenever i turn it back on it still locks up again (its Goodlink - my company push email program that is causing the "unlock phone" screen to hang).

by "select keys" you mean the 2 soft keys at the top of the keypad correct?

i have tried holding down the 2 soft keys while the phone is off - then pressing the "hang up" key to turn the phone on and letting go of all 3 keys when the screen comes on - but the phone just starts normally
