complete idiot on cell phones here. i read through the forums and looked in the newb section and did search so before any one starts with the do search junk, i've done it and most likely don't understand what am reading. so here are the questions. i travel back and forth to malaysia and singapore and it looks like i will be in canada on a long term job soon. i bought both my wife and me the razr v3 from t-mobile. i understand i will have to unlock these phones to use local numbers in these countries.i will not be using a international phone number plan.
1) in asia what type of carrier signal do they use more a GSM/CDMA/MDA or what ever? i think i got these terms right
2) does the phone have this code in it or is it the SIM? have i completly missunderstood this part?
3)my wife will be living in malaysia so is this a good phone for her? she does not do anything on the web except sms and talking on the phone? just thinks the phone is cute( has the pink/magenta color one)
