I was having problem listening to what my friends said on the phone while driving even though i turned my volume to the max. so i stopped by cingular today asking if there's a way to turn it louder ... the guy took my phone, went to setting, date/time, and turn auto update off ... power it off, and on again ... and it's louder now ... weird huh?
he also called samsung and they said they'll update the firm ware ...

i tried turning off auto update and didn't notice a difference in the volume. the earpiece volume is low, so i hope samsung releases a software fix soon.

My d807 is pretty loud on the speaker phone. Only thing is the initial ring when someone calls me is pretty low but it gets louder.

You might look in the Samsung FAQ, there is info on this problem for the T-mobile version. This may work or someone in that forum may have the advanced setting.

The settings for the T809 do not work for the D807.
