Memory card capacity on the Slvr L7 or LG CU500

Will the Motorola Slvr L7 or the new LG CU500 accept the new SanDisk 2 GIG memory card that Verizon is selling for their V CAST devices?

Is there a way to know the largest capacity memory card that a device can handle?

Thanks to all who reply

If you check CNET reviews, someone today posted a review saying that he uses the 2gb for cu500. Not to sure if it really works or its just bs hes making up.

There was a post in another hofo thread from someone that tried a 2 GB card in the CU500 and they said it did not work. That's the *only* post I've seen about it though, so I'm still keeping my eyes open for other posts from people that have tried it. (Haven't seen any others yet though).

Last I heard, the SLVR can't deal with anything over 1 GB with mem cards either, but I haven't been following the Moto or SLVR thread, so I don't know if that's changed or not.

The current CU500's are not compatible with 2GB transflash/micro sd cards. New cu500's to be released 1st quarter of 2007 will support both video-calling and 2gb cards.

Next question coming... Will customers with current CU500's be able to update to new software??? Good question but I do not know yet but can keep you posted.

Sorry for the confusion.

It's nice that the list of phones that the 2G is labeled with says it's good for the CU 500. You would think someone would have tested the phones and the cards physically speaking. It was wonderful for me to have one of my customers I sold a CU 500 to - return the 2G card telling me it would not work. Makes us look like a bunch jagoffs.

I was told by LG that a software / firmware update for the CU500 would be coming to support video calling and 2 gig memory cards. They couldn't tell me when it would be released only that its planed.
