I have upgraded to the latest Motorolla Phone Tools and when I try to transfer ringtones onto my phone it doesnt work. How can I make it work?

You can't, Verizon disabled it. There is another way though, http://howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=934864

First off.. thread title says V3CM... but your post says V3M... and your profile says neither...

If you have a Verizon Razr... (either V3C or V3M)...

Quote:
...Verizon disables compatibility with MPT's MultiMedia Studio feature (part that does ring tones/pictures/videos) on the phones themselves..

Because of this, they also remove the "M" from the phone ID string... so when MPT auto-detects your phone, it will only give you the options of a "STOCK" phone, i.e. NO MultiMedia Studio icon...

There are two things needed to fix this... (you must do both!!)

First... Re-enable the feature on the phone.. Seem Edit is the only way!! (Offset 6A, Bit0... on the E815, V3C, V3M it would be Seem 2742, on the V710 it would be Seem 041A)

Next... Get MPT to see your phone as the "M" model of your phone so that you get MPT's MultiMedia Studio icon/features... (There are 3 different ways to accomplish this task, you must "pick 1"... each are described on the install/setup guides at http://mark.cdmaforums.com..)
NOTE: for the V3C, you must have MPT V4.04b, for the V3M, you need MPT v4.21a.

So, if you want to use MPT for ring tones, pictures, videos.. see the HOW TO's and MPT link at http://mark.cdmaforums.com

Now, for the Alltel V3C, you don't need a seem edit.. you just need MPT V4.05b or higher.
