Just prepaid for a data plan account on my sidekick 2 and my account still isn't activated (been about 4 hours).

I try to go online and I get a network unavailible error, I'm wondering if they screwed me and given me the wrong plan.

Try turning it off then back on in like 30 seconds.

Did you call T-Mobile telling them to switch your prepaid account to a Sidekick 2 Go prepaid plan?

i believe you gotta give it at least 48hrs so just give it some time

The best thing to do is add the data plan to your account when you order the sidekick, like I did or if prepaid add the data plan a day or two before you go to pick it up. I placed my order on-line and as soon as it could track it in the UPS system I called TMO and added the data plan ($20).

When I received my sidekick 3 days later I went through the activation process and was on-line almost immediately. No waiting for the 48 hours, most users on hiptop.com says the registration is way quicker then 48 hours even after adding it on once they actually had the device in hand. YMMV
