Delete default pictures

Can I delete pictures on my V3 that came from Moto by using my phone menu or must I use my Moto4lin through my Mac? I have only found a way from the phone menu to view free space by getting details of specific Moto-supplied pictures, videos or sounds. If I delete all sounds, videos and pictures, what is the alternative method to view free space left (using the the phone menu)?

First part done. I deleted them with Moto4lin along with all the Cingular stuff. Second part done. I can now view free space from the options menu of pictures, sounds or videos. Must have given it a cyber head slap.
