trying to downgrade bootloader on v3 black

im using that site as a guide, and it states that i need a lower version of the bootloader, however the only program i can get to detect my razr is the phone tools program, none of the other programs off that site will detect my phone via the usb cable.

i've used phone tools to simply upload ringers and wallpapers but i want to be able to do more with the phone.

the error i keep getting with the downgrader is

GetPhoneStatus() - unable to find any valid interfaces.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks for the quick reply, i have RSD Lite, and ive donwloaded the file from the thread that you linked to, i opened up RSD Lite selected the downgrade file from the other thread but when i press start nothing happens, same thing when i press show device, nothing happens.
